Deerswood Meadow Debate

Road sign warning of toads

Deerswood is home to the famous Ray Mill Road Toads. See our latest news item about them here. The petition to save Deerswood Meadow from developers obtained 1,392 signatures. In view of this, the council will be debating the issue, in public. Rachel Cook says -

  • A film about the site is being planned to be shown at the full council meeting on Tuesday, 15th Dec at 6.30 pm in the town hall, Maidenhead.
  • It is likely that we (Toad Patrol) will organise a photo shoot for the press beforehand. I should like people to gather from 6 pm so that we are in good time and of course we need as many people as possible.

  • Please put this in your diary and come along to support us. The more people who attend the more we can show that wildlife and public open space matters.
