38^th Annual General Meeting of East Berks RSPB Local Group

This took place at the High Street Methodist Church in Maidenhead. It was the last AGM chaired by Gerry Studd who had come to the end of his term of office.

The first part of the evening was devoted to the formal business of the Annual General Meeting which took 45 Minutes. There was a leaders report, a financial report, election of a treasurer and committee members. Most important of all was the election of Mike Huddy as the new group leader.

The formal business was followed by a light hearted entertainment with an ornithological theme. This included Gerry Studd showing some of his less successful photographs after we had completely and utterly failed to recognise the bird. Gerry then showed us the good picture and we all went “Oh”. Digital photography is wonderful.

We then had a buffet and a raffle.

Thanks to Gerry for an excellent swan song as leader, to Mike Huddy for taking over the role of leader, to Sandy Studd and Jacqui Green who provided the buffet, the generous members who donated raffle prizes and to all who came contributing to a pleasant social evening.
