Wet meadows and reed beds dominate, with some trees and hedges.

Hope for turtle dove, cuckoo, grasshopper warbler, bittern, marsh harrier, hobby and peregrine. Expect warblers, finches, tits, lapwing, redshank, whitethroat, linnet, geese, ducks.  There should also be butterflies, damselflies and hares, possibly lizards.

We should see around 60 avian species

Free entry, one hide, two screens. This remote reserve has no facilities but there is a pub about a mile away in Beckley. Our walk is around 3 miles on level paths. Mud possible.
