Aston Rowant 2016
Wednesday morning walk

Date: Wednesday 23 March 2016 at 09:30

Details:

On a rather overcast morning 25 people turned out to see a rather depleted number of birds. It was good to see two new people for our morning walk.

We left the car park in Cowleaze Wood and walked through the wood and saw Siskin, Nuthatch, Treecreeper and Goldcrest but in rather poor numbers.

We went across the road from Cowleaze Wood to hopefully find Ring Ouzel on the grass banks but I think we were probably one or two weeks too early. We did however see Bullfinch, Skylark and Long-tailed Tit.

We came away rather disappointed with the number of bird species recorded being only 27.
