We are a local group of about 200 members and promote the RSPB's national objectives within our local area of about 12 miles around Maidenhead, Berkshire. As well as supporting local conservation issues we also aim to enjoy ourselves and between September and July we organise talks, walks and field trips which are open to everyone - particularly beginners or people new to the area. Everyone is welcome. You don't have to be a member - just turn up. Our area has plenty of different species throughout the year including local specialities such as Ring necked Parakeets, Red Kites and Mandarin Ducks. We are available to give illustrated talks to local groups and can also give expert advice to landowners, borough councils etc on nest box installation to help encourage birdlife. Just call Gerry Studd on 01494 715609 for a free preliminary discussion. All proceeds go to the RSPB. Website development ClockTowerWeb Ltd |
