How To Join the Local and National RSPB

Local Group Membership

Joining our RSPB local group costs you just £6.00 yearly (£5.00 by Standing Order) and helps us to organise multi-media presentations, walks, coach trips and to raise money for the RSPB.

If you have an interest in birds or wildlife, then you should join us, beginner or expert.

Members get a copy of our printed programme of events as well as reduced admission to our indoor talks and free admission to our AGM.

We try to give our birding activities a friendly social flavour so if you would like to join our group just call Jane Overall on 01628 525712 or download a Membership Form for printing (best printed duplex). Alternatively, simply turn up at one of our talks and we'll do the rest. Our membership year runs from April through the following March.

National RSPB Membership

WE NEED YOU! The government listens to the RSPB because we have over a million members. But it's just over a million and that means that we need extra new members to be safe. Join now and make a difference!

Join as an adult

aged 19 or over, and you will get:

  • An optional free gift of your choice (UK only).
  • A member's pack, full of ideas to help you make the most of your membership.
  • Free copies of RSPB Nature's Home  magazine four times a year, packed with stunning photography, exciting features, updates on the RSPB's work, details of how you can get involved, plus expert seasonal wildlife-watching advice in every issue.
  • Unlimited free entry to over 170 UK nature reserves.

RSPB membership costs from just £4 monthly by standing order, for one or two adults at the same address. You can choose to give more each month. The more you subscribe, the more we can do for birds, nature and the environment.  An extra £1 a month could help us work with communities to build wildlife homes in gardens. An extra £2 a month could help us to create yellowhammer meadowland by working with farmers.  Subscribe an extra £5 a month and help us to manage riverbanks and reedbeds for otters. Your copies of Nature's Home magazine are self financing, so we can spend 90p in every Pound of our net income on conservation.
