Indoor Meetings about Birds and Wildlife

Our Thursday evening illustrated talks are normally held once a month, from September to May, at the High Street Methodist Church hall, King Street, Maidenhead, Berks, SL6 1EA (click here for a map).

We are there from 7.00 pm, with talks starting at 7.30 pm and finishing around 9.30 pm.

Talks are given by experienced speakers drawn from across southern England. We also present details of our forthcoming events for the next month, hold a small raffle and give a rundown of recent bird sightings in our area.

Parking in the nearby West Street Car Park after 7pm is £1.50, or free if you use a RBWM Yellow Advantage Card. The High Street Methodist Church is about 150 yards from the car park, by following the pedestrian route heading South-west. The entrance to the church hall is reached via the covered way, next to the shops in King Street.

Admission to most meetings is -

  • £3 for RSPB East Berks Local Group members
  • £4 for non-members
  • £1 for any under 16's.

This admission price includes biscuits and tea or coffee, during the interval. Admission to the AGM is free for members.

Everyone is welcome, particularly if you are new to bird watching or to our Thames Valley area.
